December is a time for reflection, and like most teams, we took time to look back on the year that was and reflect on our successes, failures, and lessons learned along the way.
In many ways, 2019 was a defining year for ZenHub. As a product and engineering team, we delivered more features and improvements to our users than we ever have before. As a sales and success team we onboarded more new customers to our platform than any year prior. And as a business, we nearly doubled our headcount and added 14 new full-time ZenHubbers.
As we thought about how to best summarize and share these updates with our community, we wanted to take a slightly different (perhaps, whimsical) approach. So in the spirit of the holiday season, we strung together the highlights from the past year in a short form verse for your viewing enjoyment!
Without further adieu...
It’s December already, it’s been quite the year
It’s hard to believe 2020 is here
But before we head out and bid 2019 adieu
We wanted to share ZenHub’s Year in Review
We started the year with two brand new reports
To help teams measure progress and where they fell short
Our Cumulative Flow Charts helped keep teams in check
By measuring throughput and bottlenecks
Control Point Charts were our next product fixation
To help teams with their cycle-time calculations
In May we launched Workspaces, and in all its glory
Gave teams multiple boards per GitHub repository
But in the overall market we still saw a gap
And in early November launched ZenHub Roadmaps
To help build all these features and customer desires
We doubled our headcount and made 14 hires
Across product, engineering, marketing, and sales
We reached 34 team members, an impressive scale!
We hit several milestones over the course of the year
Like 2500 customers on our paid product tier
We’re not nearly done yet, there’s much more to deliver
And with a new year ahead we have much to consider
But above all else, if there’s one thing to convey
Without your support we wouldn’t be here today
So with that last verse there’s not much more to be said
Except upwards and onwards to 2020 ahead!

Thanks again to everyone who helped make this year so special. We can’t wait to see you all again next year and make 2020 an even bigger success!
