Roadmap: Exporting and Sharing Enhancements

⭐️ New

Exporting and sharing the roadmap has been updated!

We now have the ability to export the roadmap as a CSV, PNG and/or SVG. This allows you to pop the roadmap in a spreadsheet or a slide deck to present to your organization.

We added the ability to select the date range you want to have displayed as well as the timeline view whether it be quarterly, monthly, or weekly. We also added a selector of which projects and epics you want to have appearing in the export. This allows less noise when presenting to your team(s).

Lastly, you can share a direct link to your roadmap to any team member you want to collaborate with.

Zenhub AI Beta now available for everyone

⭐️ New

We’ve seen great adoption of the first AI-powered features we launched last year: Suggested Labels, Sprint Reviews, Automated Acceptance Criteria and our Zenhub Assistant. Just the suggested labeling feature alone is saving our users 30 minutes of extra clicks every single day by surfacing relevant labels and reducing the need to search & scroll. Automated sprint reviews are eliminating the need for teams to manually write sprint summaries and helping drive sprint demos, and just last week we heard from a customer who used our AI acceptance criteria to refine every task for their latest project.

Behind the scenes we’ve been working hard on building our own AI infrastructure to improve security, and fine-tune the accuracy of the AI models to make the experiences feel even more magical. Today we’re happy to announce that we’re automatically enabling beta access for all our AI features for all customers!

Previously, we were relying on OpenAI’s third-party APIs. Zenhub AI now runs entirely on Zenhub’s infrastructure which means we’re able to make it securely available to a much larger audience and serve a much larger number of requests. Just as before, your data never leaves our servers and we never use your data for AI model training, or share it with other customers. In fact we’re further refining our architecture to support fine-tuning the data models on just your data, enabling the suggested results to not only be faster but much more accurate to your team.

This new architecture allows us to continue to deliver on our vision of a fully automated project management experience. We’ve already started exploring ways that we can help teams automate their estimation, planning and refinement steps. And later this year we’ll be bringing the first of our AI features to our On Premise customers.

Please give Zenhub AI a try and submit your feedback to us here.

Roadmap Improvements

⭐️ New

We have added some new improvements to our roadmap

Have you been wanting to drop a pin on the roadmap to designate an important date?

You now have the ability on the roadmap to add an important date, and you can do this also on an Epic. You can edit the title of the key date to what represents the important date the best and set the appropriate date. This is shared Workspace wide so everyone is on track and aware of any upcoming dates.

  • Adding a key date on the roadmap by bringing your cursor up to the timeline.
  • You can also add a key date on an epic by going into the metadata of the epic.

Dependencies are now visually found on the roadmap

We display dependencies with a known icon that you can also find in our Daily Feed feature to let you know with a glance that, that epic is blocked. We have added lines on the roadmap, providing direction as to which epic it is that is blocking the blocked epic.

We have more improvements in store for our roadmap and can't wait to share them with you. We welcome your continued feedback on our improvements and encourage you to share your suggestions, thoughts or any issues you may run into with our support team.

Assignee, Epic and Label Filter Added to Velocity Report

⭐️ New

We're excited to announce a significant enhancement to our Velocity Report in Zenhub. With this latest update, users now have the ability to filter their Velocity Report by Epics and Assignees, providing greater flexibility and insight into team performance and project progress.

Apply one or more filters on Velocity, just like the board …

  • Filter by Assignees: In addition to filtering by Epics, users can also filter their Velocity Report by Individual Assignees. This feature enables teams to assess individual team members' contributions to project velocity, identify potential bottlenecks or resource constraints, and optimize workload distribution for improved efficiency and productivity

  • Filter by Epics: Users can now filter their Velocity Report by Epics, allowing them to focus on specific high-level initiatives or themes within their projects. This enhancement enables teams to track the progress and velocity of individual Epics, providing valuable insights into their impact on overall project delivery.

  • Filter by Labels: If you tag work by labels, our Velocity reports now enables you to visualize and track work items based on labels used like the board, offering enhanced flexibility in organizing and analyzing project data according to specific criteria or themes.

How to find and use these filters:

  1. Navigate to the Velocity Report within your workspace under the Report menu.
  2. Locate the filter options at the top of the page.
  3. Select the desired combination of Assignee, Epics and or Labels from the filter menu.
  4. See a customized Velocity Report chart and table tailored to your select criteria.

We're committed to continuously improving our platform to meet the evolving needs of our users. We welcome your feedback on this latest enhancement and encourage you to share your thoughts, suggestions, or any issues you encounter with our support team.

Email notification for Zenhub Issues

⭐️ New

We launched Zenhub Issues last year and since then we've seen amazing adoption of them as a way for technical teams to collaborate more easily with non-technical teams. One thing that's been sorely missing is notifications for Zenhub Issue changes.

Today we're launching Zenhub Issue email notifications. These notifications can be enabled individually by going to "Account Management > Profile > Notifications". When you set this setting to "Email" you will be notified when a team member assigns a Zenhub Issue to you, and when a Zenhub Issue that you created has been closed.

WIP Limits for Pipelines

⭐️ New

We've added Work-in-Progress (WIP) Limits to Pipelines on the board. This feature allows a user to configure a soft limit for the number of issues that should be allowed in a pipeline at any given time. When the limit is exceeded a warning, is displayed and users will be encouraged to review the tickets in the pipeline and update their board, workflow, or process.

To get started with this feature, head over to your board and click on 'Settings & Automation' from pipeline settings.
